In a safe and supportive environment, I provide individual therapy tailored specifically for children and teenagers. My approach is both playful and engaging, recognizing that kids are like little radars for the entire family dynamic. I aim to address their unique challenges while fostering their existing resources.
During difficult phases, I offer support in crisis situations, helping young clients and more so their parents explore the "good reasons" behind their sometimes dysfunctional behaviors. This appreciative approach allows us to understand these behaviors within the context of the family system and their developmental stages, acknowledging that different stages bring different challenges for both kids and parents alike.
Together, we will work to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and enhance emotional well-being, ensuring that each child feels seen, heard, and empowered.

About me
My name is Ann-Kathrin Langlinais, and I guide people through challenging life phases with a clear, solution-oriented approach and a healthy dose of humor. As a systemic therapist, I help you discover your own resources, overcome blockages, and finally achieve some of the changes you would like to see in your life.
I bring a wide range of experience from various areas of social work. During my time in a therapeutic children's home, I gained valuable insights into working with children and adolescents. There, I led intensive individual and group sessions, as well as supported complex family situations. These experiences deepened my understanding of the unique needs of young people and their families.
Additionally, I work as a social worker on community level, particularly in the areas of separation and divorce counseling, as well as marriage counseling. I’ve encountered various family systems, witnessed many different life realities and challenges, and supported individuals in navigating them. This work has humbled me and shown me how important it is to view each family system as a whole and develop solutions that consider the needs of all involved.
As a mother of two boys, I know what it’s like to juggle Lego constructions and teenage drama, and I’m familiar with the everyday challenges of family life. If you ever feel like you're getting lost as a person in your own family - trust me, I know exactly what that feels like! That's why you’ll always find an open ear and understanding with me when it comes to tackling family crises and challenges.
Furthermore, I live in an intercultural family. My husband is from the USA, and we speak both English and German. Of course, this brings its own set of challenges, from deciding how to celebrate Christmas (on Christmas Eve or on the morning of December 25th?) to the communication habits that sometimes cause amusement or conflict, depending on the actual mood of everybody in that moment. These intercultural experiences have made me even more open and flexible in my work.
I look forward to accompanying you on your unique path to more clarity and inner balance. I firmly believe that laughter is not only one of the best medicine, but also the best companion on the road to solutions.
